Darwin't Utsa

Darwin't is a simple weaver. He lives with his aunt in the woods on the edge of the village of Gressgs in Hillsbough. His future is set before him. He will bond Canace Al'drea his childhood love, take over his aunts weaver business and have a normal life without adventure. It is coming up to the day of his birth sun and he is excited and apprehensive about his life. He is also feeling worried for another reason. Nightmares have been plaguing him and they seems too real to just be dreams. 

Danlynn Lucious

 Danlynn is a farmhand and hates it. He knows however that he has no other talents other than with a bow so has settled with the idea that this is his life. It is almost his best friends birth sun and he plans on giving him a good send off into adulthood. He will take him into the dark caves under the old well that they have not visited since they were children. He wakes on the day of his scheme feeling nervous. An odd feeling nags at him but he pushes it aside. Today is Darwin't's day. 

Derry'n Pyrena

Derry'n is an outsider. His parents died when he was very young and he was raised in the village of Gressgs by the blacksmith. He has always felt that he does not belong there and at the same time like it is the right place for him to be. As everyone gets excited about heading to the shrine of bonding his thoughts turn to leaving the place he calls home in search of who he really is. However, before he leaves he wants to see Canace happy and for that he has to find Darwin't and talk to him.

Riochald Haldana

Riochald was once a happy child. She has always had a temper (not that she would call it that) but also a bright and ready smile. That was until the day she went to the shrine of bonding and was left alone at the alter. Now she dedicates her time to healing and runs the healers house in the village of Gressgs. However, she is desperatly lonely and craves the time of all those around her. Unfortunatly for her everyone in the village avoids her. She is not sure why this is. Her temper is not that bad.

 Canace Al'drea

Canace is a quiet young woman who is coming of age. She is getting ready for her bonding ritual to Darwin't Utsa her lifelong friend and love; planning on where to have their first home built and deciding on the names of the many children she is planning to have. Things are looking good for her as the day of Darwin't's birthday draws close. So why is it then that she has started to see a crying girl everywhere. She knows it's in her mind but what could it mean?

Tarfleam Midigon

Tarfleam is a troubled young man. A mix of self loathing and hatred for everyone else has seen him left alone. He has only one friend (Tye Slocot) who he controls more than likes and no ambition for the future. His only dream in life is to make those around him suffer as much as he feels he has. It does not matter that he has been a bully all his life. What matters is that he has been made to suffer and in return he plans on causing as much grief to those around him as he can. He is just waiting for the right moment to strike. 

Princess Narinda Ales'd till Abenbeth

Narinda is willful and headstrong with a temper to match her fiery eyes. She has been treated with respect all her young life and it is a shock to her when a new bodyguard is appointed to her who does not jump at her commands. She is not normally a bossy person but she sees Fia as a challenge and tries to force him to do her bidding. However, there is something else between the two of them, a bond of some sort. She does not love him, nor does she even fancy him but she plays up to it because she knows it makes him nervous of her; which means she is winning.

 Fia Sharphorn

Fia is the son of the clan chief of the Ai'ver Sept of the Range of Dray. As so he is watched closely and given strict lessons in diplomacy and mountain warfare. As the only child of the chief he has been sent to Atlant City to be the bodyguard to the princess as all sons of chiefs do, for it is written in the book of Prophecy. However, he finds his time with the girl tiresome and longs for the day when he can return home. On a trip to the outlying farms around the city he fell from his horse and was healed by the most beautiful woman he has ever seen. He now looks for her face in every crowd just so he can thank her.

Molly

Known simply as Molly, this little girl has grown up in the great Angel city of Gossa-Mesa in the sea of Gossamal. She is a human child living with Angels and for this she dreams of having wings of light upon her back. She does not know much about her past, just that she came to be here in the city and they decided to raise her as one of them. She knows something else is going on. In her dreams she sees a man who is walking into a cave full of evil. Each night she wakes screaming. She somehow knows she alone can save him.

O'us

 O'us is the son of Ori, high priest of the Angel race. He is considered reckless for an Angel and has been known to sneak Molly out of the tree city and into the mountains beyond. He loves the girl like a sister and wants nothing more than to protect her. What he does not understand though is that Angels can not use their vast power to harm another living creature, even if their lives are in danger. Believing that sometimes force is the best and only way to protect others he is forced to kill a beast. However, now that he has taken a life his wings are turning black and his temper is harder to control.
